Matt Wiley - MSc, CPEng, CMEngNZ
Director / Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Matt has 25 years’ experience and has managed successful geotechnical / environmental businesses based in Mangawhai, Auckland and Christchurch. Matt has worked on and managed large, complex geotechnical investigations for the mining, infrastructure and land development sectors both here in NZ and overseas. He has a broad range of geological knowledge throughout New Zealand and the Pacific with experience in the identification and mitigation of natural hazards, and creating realistic ground models with accurate geological mapping and interpretation.
John Rowland – BEng (Hons), MEngNZ
Senior Associate Geotechnical & Stormwater Engineer
John has consultant experience here in NZ as well as overseas. He is experienced in geotechnical design of foundations, earthworks, slope stability, retaining structures and liquefaction analysis. He has worked on and project managed an array of residential, commercial and subdivision projects as part of the Christchurch Rebuild, in the San Francisco Bay Area of California as well as in the Auckland and Northland region. He also leads the stormwater side of the company with a range of experience through residential and subdivision developments.
Cameron Shaw - BSc
Wastewater Designer & Field Technician
Cameron is an experienced wastewater system designer as well as having extensive experience carrying out geotechnical field investigations in the Northland and Auckland areas. He also has also worked in the areas of soil and water sampling for environmental testing.
Mike Davis – NZDE (Civil)
Geotechnical Technician
Mike has experience carrying out a range of geotechnical field investigations. He is involved with various stages of projects such as site assessments, field logging, geotechnical reporting and construction monitoring.
Sara Henry
Administration
Sara leads the administrative side of the company. She looks after the day to day running of our Mangawhai office including accounts, project coordination and all things administration.
Christchurch Office
Raymond Su – BE(Hon), MEngSc, CMEngNZ, CPEng, IntPE(NZ), APEC Engineer, PMP
Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Christchurch Manager
Raymond has over 20 years’ of experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. He has led as a project manager and geotechnical engineer in a wide range of projects including a number of Christchurch Post-Earthquake Recovery projects, land developments and several large mufti-disciplinary infrastructure projects in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. His specialities are planning and conducting geotechnical investigations & laboratory testing, underground engineering design (i.e. shoring, deep excavation, anchors), deep foundation design, slope mitigation, retaining walls and ground improvements. Raymond is the engineering manager of our Christchurch office.
Helen Kellett – BSc (Geology)
Senior Engineering Geologist / Environmental Scientist
Helen has experience in geological, geotechnical and environmental projects in Auckland, Wellington, and Canterbury as well as within NZ and Australian mining industries. She has worked on various residential and commercial projects across Greater Christchurch as part of the Christchurch Rebuild.
We also have access to a range of additional contract staff to meet the needs of our clients.
